A native of Sligo Keith began his classical guitar studies at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), Dublin. Having travelled to Dublin for a number of years on a weekly basis for his guitar tuition, Keith went on to study music full time at Trinity College Dublin where he received his Bachelor of Music Education Honours Degree.
In 2011 Keith completed his Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance at Dundalk Institute of Technology while also working full time as a music teacher in Sligo.
Throughout his studies Keith has been the recipient of numerous awards for his playing including the Senior Guitar Scholarship at the RIAM , Senior Solo Concerto Competition (RIAM), HK Edwards String Bursary (RIAM) and the George Lowden Cup at Dublin Feis Ceoil.
He has performed in various venues throughout the country including The National Concert Hall Dublin, The Bank of Ireland Arts Centre Dublin, St. Anne’s Church Dublin, The Black Box Dundalk, The Model Sligo, The Hawks Well Theatre Sligo, St. Nicholas’ Church Galway, Christ Church Waterford and King House, Boyle Co. Roscommon.
Keith is currently teaching leaving and junior certificate music in Sligo and is in the process of planning some concert dates for the coming new year.
